Staff Profiles

Carey Besch, EA, CPA

Carey has been working in the field of accounting on and off for more than 25 years. Her educational background includes a BA in Mathematics, MEd in Secondary Education and an Accounting Certificate (equivalent education of a BA), all from George Mason University. She has worked in multiple industries and has done bookkeeping and tax work for both individuals and businesses, to include small law firms, a landscaping company, professional consulting firms, a printing company, an interior design firm and many others.

As an Enrolled Agent, Carey has “unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS” as well as prepare and submit tax returns. “Enrolled Agents are the only federally licensed tax professionals” as noted on the NAEA, National Association Enrolled Agents website, www.naea.org

In addition to being an Enrolled Agent, Carey met all of the requirements of the VA Board of Accountancy and earned her CPA license in August 2017.
